Copenhagen 19/5 2023. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Yellow can in Apex' usual design with a big Squid as poster animal.
Pours opaque hazy yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of ripe stone fruit mingling with a a tart, citric scent. Peach and mango. Grapefruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is quite dry.
Potent and powerful combination of amazing hops.

Smell is juicy with notes of mango, pineapple and thr juice from canned peaches.
Taste is slightly sweet with a medicinal tinge to it. Notes of peaches, mango and some pine, with mild to moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a nice IPA where the medicinal quality gets a bit in the way.
