There is a part of me that's always sixteen. I've found the secret of eternal youth. Some get high on life or money. But there's an escape, drop out of the race. To walk through the world by one's self, you can't be protected. Your trust is in hops, wheat and Black Sabbath. It's Goddamn Electric.

Copenhagen 19/6 2021. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Light green can in Apex’s usual design - this time with a bunch of Eels as poster animals.
Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, slightly fermented odor of tropical fruits mingling with art, citric notes. Mango and papaya. Sweet oranges. Hints of decay. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Fine bunch of Eels.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and berry/citrus/tropical hops, with notes of white grape, lime peel and passion fruit, as well as some herbal and woody accents. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly herbal, spicy and woody hops, with notes of white grape, gooseberry, grapefruit, lime peel, passion fruit and accents of coriander and cedar wood. Finishes with a light bitterness and some white grape, lime peel and passion fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice New England IPA that is heavy on the Nelson Sauvin hops, with some quite expressive, slightly acidic berry notes as well as lighter, zesty citrus and sweet tropical notes and herbal, woody accents. I really like the combination of Nelson and Galaxy here, two of my favorite hops, which works really well and makes for a rather enjoyable drinking experience, although it's just a touch too sweet for my personal taste. There's a good body and mouthfeel to this as well, while the ABV is hardly noticeable.
