The trident, the Chief Rebel Angel’s pitchfork is often associated with mischief, defiance and grim and frostbitten darkness. From now on it will also be associated with zesty citrus, sweet ripe stonefruits, candied oranges, and faint notes of coconut.

Copenhagen 26/6 2021. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Light blue can in Apex’s usual design. This time with a squid armed with tridents as poster animal. The version I am drinking holds an ABV of 6,5.
Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Dense and stable. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet odor of stone fruit mingling with more dominant citric notes. Peach and apricot. Grapefruit and lime. Acerbic.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Pretty light and a quite eminent Indian Pale Ale.

Overall, a very nice NE IPA.
