Customer disclaimer: There is no way to adequately prepare your taste buds and your brain’s reward centre for what’s coming, in terms of the magical over the top fruity honey dew-backed-up-by-a-pleasant-lingering-grapefruit-bitterness treat you will receive when you crack one of these bad boys open. We’d also like to throw in ”mango” as a descriptor but it might seem too obvious. Is it too obvious? It’s too obvious, right? Is it? Nah..screw it - ”..and perfectly ripe, freshly cut mango”. There you have it. We double dry hopped this double India Pale Ale with Galaxy, Topaz and a completive even sprinkle of Amarillo. The result is objectively phenomenal. Cheers mango lovers!

Copenhagen 29/6 2021. 44 cl can from DinØl web-shop (dinol.dk). Turquoise can in Apex’s usual design this time with a Gorilla quoting the lyrics of an old Dissection song as poster animal.
Pours opaque, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as a thin - almost transparent - layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of fermented stone fruits mingling with citrus fruit. Papaya and passion fruit. Hints of decay. Acerbic grapefruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a fermented, sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is dry.
Elegant and not too boozy.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit and tangerine, as well as some distinct grassy accents. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, grassy and slightly spicy and resinous hops, with tropical and citrus notes of passion fruit, orange and tangerine, as well as just a hint of pine and black pepper. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some passion fruit, tangerine and grassy, spicy accents lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Quite a nice New England IPA with a rather interesting flavor profile. I really like the combination of juicy tropical and citrus notes, as well as somewhat bitter, grassy, slightly resinous and spicy accents here. making for a well-rounded flavor profile that's a little different from the usual fruit punch bombs and showcases the Topaz hops, an interesting choice as well, nicely here. Overall, this makes for a very enjoyable, a little different NEIPA that combines the typical attributes of the style very nicely with more bitter, grassy and resinous accents.
