Copenhagen 28/5 2026. 44 cl can from A Good Case web-shop. Atypical design with a strange rendering of a gripping, metallic hand in a white room with tiles.
Pours clear amber with a big white head. Fluffy and a little bit bubbly. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of ripe stone fruits mingling with a sharp citric scent. Peach and a hint of mango. Grapefruit in abundance. Nice and sharp.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Nice and dry - but not exactly a Death Grip (thankfully).

Smell is fruity and bit sweet with notes of peach, citrus, gummy candy and melon.
Taset is fruity and crisp with notes of citrus, peach and green tea with hints of pine and gummy candy. Moderate bitterness with a lager-y maltiness in the back.
Mouthfeel is medium, sticky and well carbonated.
Overall, a very good, modern west coast IPA.
