Copenhagen 13/5 2023. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Light blue ban in Apex’ usual design with the skeleton of what looks like a monkey with wings as poster animal.
Pours opaque hazy pale yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as 2,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with sharp citric notes. Mango and peach. Soap. Pine. Grapefruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is rather intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Pleasant DIPA although I would have expected an ABV of at least 10 when they call it “Metatron”.

Pours a hazy orangw with soft head and massive amounts of lacing.
Smell is juicy, fruity and a bit herbal. Notes of peach, melon, orange juice and peach syrup.
Taste is juicy, fruity and herbal. Quite intense wih a solid bitterness and a bit of sweetness. Notes of peach, citrus and melon with some earthy hints.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowy and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice DIPA, just a touch too earthy.
