For this hazy double IPA we used Citra YCH 702/DynaBoost flowable whirlpool extract. DynaBoost was crafted as a hassle-free whirlpool addition that amplifies aromatics through a concentration of wort-soluble compounds.
Hassle-free ✔️
Amplified aromatics ✔️
Heavily dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Strata and even more Citra. Ripe and juicy [insert: all the tropical fruits you can name] and a strong sweet citrusy aroma and flavor.
Cheers!
Malts:
Extra pale ale malt, wheat malt & flaked torrefied oats
Hops:
Citra DynaBoost (YCH 702), Citra T90, Nelson Sauvin T90 and Strata T90
Yeast:
AEB Fermoale New-E

Marielyst 13/10 2025. 44 cl can from A Good Case web-shop. Motadella-colored can in Apex’s usual design with a grasshopper saying “Godspeed to Ya” as poster animal.
Pours opaque hazy, yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, pleasant fruity odor mingling with a sharper scent of citrus fruits. Sweet peach and pineapple. Mango and passion fruit. Grapefruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, a bit viscous, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit searing. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Solid, bitter and citric DIPA. A good case for fundamentalism.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of over-ripe peaches, papaya and guava. Moderately sweet flavour of citrus, yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits, a hint of pine in the finish. Low bitterness.
