Poured from a boxed bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Cloudy dark, dark brown pour... nearly black with a faint fizz of head. No lacing.
S: Sherry/wine... a bit of roast. Sweet and boozy. Dark fruit.
T.F: Sweet and fruity. Sherry and oak. Not nearly as much roast as expected. Some cherry and plum... vinous. Medium bodied... on the thin side for a 12.3% Russian Imperial. The booze is hidden but does hit you. Warming.
O: Fairly average but the Sherry barrel is a nice twist and added decent flavor, and it's fun to see a Polish brewery branching off in this direction. Not a must-try by any means, but I certainly enjoyed it.
