Poured from a boxed 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Dark black pour with a thin foamy off-white head. Nice ring of lacing.
S: Roast, chocolate, vanilla, and whisky. Lots going on here.
T.F: Sweet milk chocolate and roasted malts up front. Strong peat/scotch and oak... lighter vanilla, but all of the expected/advertised flavors are present and accounted for. Medium bodied... lighter than expected. Warming... and the whisky really comes out as it gets to room temperature.
O: A solid Polish brew with a lot of flavors going on. Everything works well and the beer picks up the Scotch nicely. A perfect cold-weather dessert beer, and I'm glad I was able to get one of these home from a trip to Warsaw.
