I have visited Veza Sur brewery twice over the last 3 months, and I have found myself thoroughly enjoying the Fresa Belga both times. It is not over powering with strawberry flavor, yet it is still very present.
It has somewhat of a thin pale appearance, and the aromatic notes of strawberry are quite apparent.
At first sip, there is no doubt of strawberry flavour. My first time tasting was at the brewery, and the hoppiness quickly overtakes most strawberry notes, which is then consumed my a sweet Belgian finish.
On my second trip, I decided to bring a growler home to Massachusetts. I cracked it open after sitting for a few days, and that initial hoppy taste is taken over by a rich, creamy, and somewhat boozy, flavor as the hops give way to the malts.
Overall, in both instances, I have thoroughly enjoyed this particular beer.
