A: Pours a crystal clear medium to dark copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate burnt orange + ruby red + amber + chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense sudsy foamy tan head that reduces to a large patch of mottled thin film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted + caramel + bready malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of earthy + spicy hops.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of toasted + caramel + bready malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by a light flavor of lager yeast. Finally there is a light to moderate flavor of
earthy + spicy hops which contribute a light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Subtle hints of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and enjoyable. I could easily have a couple of these. Nice take on the style.
