A: Pours an opaque yet still clear thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark cola brown + chestnut brown + caramel colored highlights. The beer has a four finger tall dense pillowy foamy dark mocha head that slowly reduces to a large half finger thick cap covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Just shy of strong aromas of roasted + chocolate + spicy rye + caramel malts with a moderate amount of caramel + lactose-like sweetness. Moderate aromas of marshmallow + cacao nibs + graham crackers + milk chocolate. Light to moderate aromas of toasted coconut + dark chocolate. Hints of vanilla and earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are just shy of strong flavors of roasted + chocolate + spicy rye + caramel malts with a moderate amount of caramel + lactose-like sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of marshmallow + cacao nibs + graham crackers + milk chocolate. Just shy of moderate flavors of toasted coconut + dark chocolate and hints of vanilla + earthy hops. Light to moderate amounts of roasty bitterness which fades relatively quickly leaving lingering milk chocolate + marshmallow flavors.
M: Just shy of full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth + thick, almost creamy.
O: Drinks very easily considering the strength with well hidden alcohol and decently restrained sweetness. Enjoyable as there is a lot of complexity to the flavors and aromas.

Glossy burnt dark brown with a thin, creamy tan blanket leaving some thin, curling arms of lace on the glass.
Marshmallow really does come out in smell, even with some wet milk-dunked graham cracker, while taste is a more mature and grounded of smoky, ashy roast with a nutty, earthy coffee exhale. This is contrasted by sweet tobacco, vanilla, Tootsie Roll and malted milk balls--at times it's like chocolate pie up front, as coconut develops in the finish at warmer temps.
The smooth, medium-light body has a sticky, semi-dry finish and builds a soft froth with a swish.
This literally tastes like beer version of actually making a s'mores in real life, without being too decadent, weirdly enough. The smoky roast helps balance the pastry additions while also adding a hint of campfire.
