Another one of our floral series, this beer is show casing Taiheke, Vic secret, and Motueka. Bright and tropical, with fruits and citrus on the nose.

16oz can from Tavour. Pours out a hazy, pale golden, small foamy head subsides leaving little patches. Soft citrusy aroma, mostly grapefruit. Bready malts underlay the citrusy, fruity flavors and finish with a lasting dry bitterness.

A: Pours a milky murky pale golden orange in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + pale golden yellow + honey + apricot colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of medium thick film covering a little more than 80% of the surface of the beer and a large patch of very slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy tropical/pineapple, tropical/melon, citrus/grapefruit and citrus/lemon hops with a very light amount of floral + herbal hops over the top of just shy of moderate aromas of biscuit + oat + wheat malts with a moderate amount of sugary sweetness.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + oat + wheat malts with a moderate amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy tropical/pineapple, tropical/melon, citrus/grapefruit and citrus/lemon hops with a very light amount of floral + herbal hops which impart a hint of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving lingering moderate tropical + citrus + floral hop flavors.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of soft/fluffiness mid-body with a light to moderate amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable with really nice tropical + citrus + floral hop flavors and aromas and highlighting/featuring a hop that I have not seen used much as of yet (Taiheke). Definitely worth grabbing and HopFly continues to produce extremely solid NEIPAs.
