Headed up by Weathered Souls Brewing down in Texas, this is another collaborative brew in which brewers all over the world are coming together to raise awareness for the injustices that many people of color face daily. We put a unique spin on the recipe, brewing up a sultry chocolate and peanut butter imp stout. We get all PB on the nose and rich, think chocolate throughout. We have chosen to donate the proceeds from this beer to The National Institute for Criminal Justice reform, an organization committed to fairer criminal justice practices, reducing gun violence, and creating leadership programming opportunities for young professionals of color.

A: Pours an opaque jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark cola brown + dark chestnut brown + dark garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy dark tan head that reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of roasted + dark + caramel + chocolate malts with a moderate amount of caramel + lactose sweetness along with slightly stronger than moderate flavors of peanut butter + milk chocolate.
T: Upfront there are moderate to strong flavors of roasted + dark + caramel + chocolate malts with a moderate amount of caramel + lactose sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of peanut butter and milk chocolate. No discernible hop presence but there is a light to moderate amount of roasty bitterness which lingers for a while but eventually leaves a lingering chocolate + peanut butter sweetness.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Easy to drink with pretty well hidden alcohol considering the strength and smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyable with lots of chocolate + peanut butter flavors and aromas without being overly sweet though I had this beer for dessert and slowly sipped it over the course of the evening.
