Sitting at a nice drinkable 6.0% ABV, this beer is made to make you recall the wonderful taste of a BIRTHDAY CAKE! Pure vanilla and cacao nibs give this beer a nice cake quality. We even added a bit more lactose to this beer to make it a tad more sweeter than our last milk stout. I can't wait to have a few of these to celebrate the occasion!

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark cola brown + dark chestnut brown + garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall foamy tan head that reduces to a very slightly mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of sweet milk chocolate + cocoa + vanilla over the top of moderate aromas of roasted + chocolate + caramel malts with moderate amounts of caramel + lactose sweetness. Light aromas of earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted + chocolate + caramel malts with moderate amounts of caramel + lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of sweet milk chocolate + cocoa + vanilla. Finally there are very light flavors of earthy hops. Overall there is a light amount of roasty bitterness which fades fairly quickly leaving lingering chocolate + vanilla flavors.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyable with very nice chocolate, cocoa, vanilla flavors + aromas. Another easy drinking lower ABV milk stout from HopFly.
