A: Pours an opaque yet still clear thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark chestnut brown + dark amber + dark cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy dark tan head that reduces to a medium to large patch of mottled extremely thin film covering a little more than 60% of the surface of the beer and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of sweet vanilla over the top of moderate aromas of freshly brewed dark roasted coffee. Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of roasted + toasted + caramel malts with a slightly stronger than moderate amount of caramel + lactose sweetness. Hints of earthy hops.

T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of roasted + toasted + caramel malts with a slightly stronger than moderate amount of caramel + lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of freshly brewed dark roasted coffee and moderate to strong flavors of sweet vanilla. Finally there is a hint of earthy hops and a light to moderate amount of lingering roasty bitterness as well as sweet vanilla.

M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy.

O: Drinks quite easily for this big of a beer with very well hidden alcohol and a smooth almost creamy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable flavor/aromas of coffee + vanilla over a well constructed base milk stout - sweet but not cloying.
