A: Pours a clear almost opaque dark reddish amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate medium golden yellow + medium cola brown + ruby red colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of bready + biscuit + grainy + toasted malts with a hint of caramel + grainy sweetness. Moderate aromas of lager yeast. Light aromas of grassy + herbal + earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of bready + biscuit + grainy + toasted malts with a hint of caramel + grainy sweetness. That is followed by just shy of moderate flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are light flavors of grassy + herbal + earthy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly leaving light lingering bready malt flavors.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a slightly watery finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly crisp + lighter mouthfeel. Enjoyable malt profile - reminds me of a hybrid of a Vienna Lager and a more traditional American Amber Lager. Could see this pairing very nicely with food.
