Look: It pours brown with a tan head. Head retention is good.
Smell: It has strong caramel aromas with some roast. There are some slight chocolate undertones. There are also some fruity notes featuring dark cherries and plums.
Taste: The roast is stronger in the flavors with some chocolate and low caramel. There are dark fruits with dark cherries and plums being about equal. It is balanced towards the sweet side. It has a bit of a spicy note to it.
Feel: It has a moderate body with a finish on the sweet side. It is quite easy drinking.
Overall: I light the sweetness and fruitiness that this beer has. The malts added a mulit layer complexity that many browns don't have.
