Look: Pours an opaque shade of hazy light orange with a generous, three finger head of white foam that laces the glass exceptionally well.
Aroma: Orange marmalade, pineapple juice, sweet graham crackers.
Taste: Really something special. Creamy with big notes of pineapple jam and orange marmalade. Goes briefly bitter with strong flavors of spruce, before turning peppery with notes of apricot. On the finish, flavors of fresh baked, soft and doughy macadamia cookies. Not sure if it's because my can is only a week old but this is next level. I'm even getting flavors of barley sugar and marzipan.
Feel: Full bodied. Velvety and supple. Soft and silky to the palate. Low carbonation. Texture is still crisp and refreshing (for the style) but still substantial and heady. 6% abv is undetectable.
Overall: An exceptional beer. Didn't expect much from this but it completely blew me away. This is velvety and silky with big flavors of fruit preserves complimented by spicy/bitter yet restrained notes of fresh fruit rinds. I will definitely be buying this again and I'm so happy that LBBC is only a 20 minute drive from my house!
