Certainly lives up to the name. Extremely dark with minimal head and (long lasting) lacing. Smell is pure sweet chocolate. Taste is too, but not as strong or as sweet as on the nose. Bit of dark bitter malt. Surprisingly not as thick and oily on the feel as I was expecting. Medium body. Easy sipper. Better as it warms. Good, but almost a one note beer with the chocolate.

Had on tap. Black body with some brown tinges and foam. Smells strongly of milk chocolate, chocolate cake, and vanilla. One of the better tasting chocolate stouts I have had in awhile: milk chocolate, dark chocolate cake, vanilla, and on the end, a shot of sugary frosting. Feel is cakey, sweet, and viscously smooth. The wife love it even more than I did, "I have had lots of chocolate stouts and this is one of the best"
