Served in a Lagunitas mason jar from the aluminum growler filled at Beer on the Wall - Arlington Heights.
Pours a clear garnet-umber topped by over a finger of sandstone foam. The nose comprises stone fruits, toffee, honey, and candied orange peel. The taste brings in more of the same, everything coalescing into a singular mass of flavors, to which a bit of tea is added. The finish is a touch more bitter than I would have expected. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. I'm not really all that sure about this one: it went down easy, but my enjoyment wasn't absolute.

Had this on tap at Oswego Brewing. This scotch ale had a nice look to it. Dark and full bodied with a small head. The smell and taste were a little muted in my opinion. There were some caramel and toffee with a decent malt taste and a touch of smoke but I found it lacking a little.
