"Brewers, by nature, are simple creatures with simple needs. Dark, delicious lagers are one of those needs. Schwarzbier is beer for brewers."
Carafa, Carapils, Cararye, Chocolate Rye, Munich, Pilsner, and Vienna malts with Hallertauer Mittelfruh hops.
16 oz can dated 1/7/21 and poured into a pint glass shows a muddy, dark, opaque, almost purple body and almost supports a 1/8in cap of tan bubbles that quickly heads to the edge and leaves erratic artistic lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts toes the line between coffee and chocolate with fresh air wafting above.
Roast malt is the flavor of the day driven by a creamy, medium feel that finishes clean and not quite dry.
Overall an easy drinking dark beer with full roasted malt flavor. Perfect in this frozen weather.

This one was a little deceiving. It looked like a dark heavy beer. But it was actually a dark lighter beer. I really enjoyed the roastiness of this one. It was light and a bit thin but it had a nice little coffee finish to it.

Served from the can in a Mickey Finn's shaker pint glass.
Yeah? Well, I'm gonna drink it anyway! I mean, I've done some homebrewing, so... Anyway, this stuff pours a deep midnight brown topped by a finger or so of khaki foam. The nose comprises rye bread, roasted malts, mild cola, and a touch of caramel. The taste holds notes of toasted rye bread (things almost verge on smoky, to be honest), cola, light coffee, and a twinge of roasted malts. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a pretty nice schwarz, one that goes pretty hard on the roastier aspects, while still remaining fairly drinkable.
