i tryed this 1 year aged and the 2 year aged - both smell strom bourbon and malt strom beer takes away from the flavor

Pours extremely dark. Smell is barrel forward, followed by dark malt and chocolate. The chocolate malt is the strongest taste, then followed by the barrel. Medium to bigger bodied, strong barrel presence, not thick or syrupy. Very good.

My good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego gave me a can of this beer. It poured an opaque dark with thin tan ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had tobacco and bourbon notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip. There was sweet molasses malt base with tobacco, vanilla, semi sweet chocolate, dark fruit (raisin) and bourbon presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had smoove carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
