This is a beer of extremes, kind of all over the map, which makes it kind of tough to judge. In the end there's just not enough harmony to make it work.
First off, it's pretty much the colour of mud. Which is okay, I've had some mucky looking beers that were great, but this has got nothing else to redeem it. Short head to a quick ring, no real lacing. It'll just look off-putting to some folks.
Grapefruit and orange nose. Pithy. And sweet. Big puffy mouthfeel, then sharp bite from carbonation. Soft and sweet up front, noticeable orange juice up the middle, bitter pithy finish. Just bounces from peak to peak to peak which I find kind of jarring.
A couple of nice features, just not knitted together right.
