Gold pour, some initial bubbles, no head. Nose is candi sugar and malt.

Taste shares fresh apple, honey, light nuttiness, light kilned malt, Belgian yeast, spices. Light bodied for the ABV. Finish shows a faint hint of banana with spices.

I had this beer on tap at the brewery in Waco, TX.

This is a spot-on tripel! Good appearance, except for very little head. Clean, malty/noble hops nose with great flavors of bready malt, grassy hops and black pepper from the yeast. Clean, dry mouthfeel and finish with solid hops bitterness and warming alcohol. A Belgian brewer would be proud of this!

Poured from a 12 ounce undated can into a teku glass.

Look- Deep gold, very slight haze, white frothy head, average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Grassy, earthy, clove, between weak and medium strength of scent.

Taste- Clove dominant, earthy, medium strength of flavor.

Feel- Between thin and medium body, average carbonation, moderate astringency, moderately dry finish, mildly mouth warming.

Overall- Deep gold with slight haze and average head retention and lacing. Bouquet had grassy, earthy and clove character. The flavor was dominated by clove and very simple. Feel was between thin and medium body with a moderately dry finish and mild mouth warming properties. Overall this beer provided a below average drinking experience. It was very one dimensional in flavor and somewhat weak in aromatics.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange, with a moderate, dense and rather persistent white head. Appropriately, Belgian-style lacing adorns the glass wall. Clumps of fat bubbles cling to the glass wall, beneath the surface. Columns of small bubbles race to the surface, renewing the head.

Aroma: Coriander, ripe apples, and pears, mild phenols, sweet alcohol and earth hops are notable in the aroma.

Taste: Opens with coriander, ripe pears and apples. Soon after, notes of rather ripe bananas present. Beneath all of this there is a solid bready malt presence that struggles a bit to present. Later in the taste, there are cloves and mildly spicy and warming alcohol. Toward the finish there is an earthy and medicinal note that brings the spice and fruit flavors to a close. The medicinal note lingers on well past the end of the taste.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and very full, velvety, with slightly zesty carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: In my opinion, this is a very well-made example of the style, comparing well with Belgian-brewed Tripels that I have tried, not wanting in elegance. Recommended.

Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

Sourcing: Purchased at HEB in Waco, TX, on 04/08/2023.

Sweet and bubbly, the clove/spice tones are intriguing. Beautiful color and aroma from the tap. Sip it slow and enjoy.

Bought a six pack at the brewery in cans. Poured into a tulip glass. Clear yellow color with good head and decent lacing. Sweet fruit smell and taste. Sweet apples and pears. Cloves and warm spice. Comforting beer!

Silky finished and pours well. A little heavy but worth every penny. This is clearly carefully crafted to maintain an equal amount of hops to acidity, Pairs well with almost anything. After taste doesn’t linger either.

This brew is a hidden gem in Waco, Texas.
