just behind the mild bitter as the best two beers we had in here, the others were not even close to at these levels. this is a simple but well made beer, fermented on the warmer side with a bright and estery yeast profile, not sharp or phenolic but flavorful and robust, with notes of pear and orange and green grapes, its summery and light, fermented down to near dry, and well supported by the pale wheaty base. some nice earthy grain at the core of this one, raw wheat too maybe, and even a pils type barley in here, crackery and dry and with some structure. essences of cut flowers, lemons, and coriander seed as it moves along, dry and citrusy in the finish with the bright belgian yeast closing it out nicely. good carbonation too, this is pretty lively in the glass and drinks easy and refreshing as a result. a pretty classic take on the style, perhaps americanized just a bit, but this is sure to be pleasing to any fan of a clean belgian witbier, nice job on this one. i wish all the beers in here were this good!
