L:. Pours a pale yellow orange with a small white head and nice rings of lacing around the glass.
S:. Some earthy nutty malt, a bit of rye spiciness, an odd plastic and alcohol smell.
T:. Rye, earthy and nutty, with a odd plastic taste at the end.
F:. Creamy mouthfeel and lighter body.
O:. Couple odd smells bit still decent.

this was our least favorite beer we had in here, even the brewer wasnt thrilled with how this one turned out. its a shame, because i like the idea of a light easy drinking american pale with oats and rye in the mash to give it a little more grain character than a lot of these have these days, but there is a funny chemical sort of harshness to it, especially in the finish, that suggests some user error or even infection, although i suspect the former. i sometimes get this flavor in beers fermented in plastic, but a few of the beers we had were awesome, so that cant totally explain it. slightly medicinal, astringent, like cleaner maybe, tough to say. the hop profile still is good though, and the rye can be appreciated even though the off flavor, so nicely done there. good body and carbonation too, just this strange chemical taste at the end that comes in and kind of ruins it. i suspect this will improve in future batches, the other beers in here were indicative of a much higher quality. i hope they dont give up on this one, the potential is there.
