this was my least favorite of the three beers i had in here, which is saying something about high quality across the board here, because this is still excellent. its pink in color, a belgian blonde spiked with strawberry. i have no idea why there isnt a category for belgian blonde or golden here on BA, this is decidedly not a belgian pale, but thats probably the closest category to what it actually is. am i missing something here? in any event, the strawberry tastes like jam or an ice cream topping more than it does like real fruit, but its really appealing against the floral and white winey belgian yeast, estery but clean at the same time, springy and sweet overall, lots of energy, a honey note to it, fresh and well made, i dont miss a realer fruit complexion at all, which really isnt like me, just something about this one works. delicate and drinkable for as strong as it is, nicely carbonated, and not finishing as sweet as it is earlier on. fun beer, nice for the season, and as good technically as all the others seem to be in here. these guys should do well in denver with beers this good!
