L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a small amount of off white, foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Not much lacing.
S: An interesting aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, malt, and a vinous quality.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of malt (not too much), a tinge of Belgian-style yeast, a lot of the vinous quality, tons of dark fruit (plums, raisins), and a hint of hops in the finish. Definitely not the typical imperial stout flavor. They refer to it as a "blended stout", so it seems as if a regular stout was mixed with a Belgian beer. It's odd, but somehow manages to work.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth, crisp finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is an unusual example of a stout, to be sure, but it's oddly drinkable. Worth a look.
