Sometimes we like to indulge our inner Augustus Gloop with all the delicious flavors displayed in decadent imperial stouts. But, we usually have to work in the morning. With this in mind, we’ve created a sessionable stout that still contains all the delectable flavors often found in the world’s most coveted confections. With copious amounts of cocoa nibs and vanilla beans added after fermentation, this dry stout displays oozes with notes of the finest chocolate bars.

Though the can has dessert beer written all over it, this is not much of one...
...but it is a decent chocolatey brew. Beautifully black, no head, no lacing. Light on scents of toffee, caramel, and chocolate, but strong on vanilla - all of this lightly transferring over to the taste. Mouthfeel is almost perfectly light on carbonation, all of this bringing me to say it's a solid enough offering from this quirky canning and can art brewer...

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can that is poured into a snifter. The beer was purchased in SC and brought back to CT after a recent trip. The beer pours a rich cola brown color with creamy beige head of about 3 cm. this foam fades slowly to a sturdy edge layer that remains throughout the sampling.
The aroma mild and is fairly roasty with some dark chocolate and a little sweeter milk chocolate note. Maybe a little bit of grassy hops but this is mild and I dont get any of the vanilla listed on the label.
The first sip reveals a smooth texture and average to light body. I also get very fine and tingly carbonation that tingles across my palate with each sip.
the flavor is what I anticipate from the nose with roasted malt and some sweet chocolate mixing with a bit of a nutty note that I didnt get on the nose. The beer is very easy to drink and is interesting even though 4.7%. Truly a worthy sessionable brew. Glad I picked this one up and hope to pay a visit to this brewery next time I am in CHarleston.

16 oz can at the 2019 Spring Albino Skunk Music Festival. $3.09 from the Wall of Beer.
Pours near black with a good tan head.
Good balance with judicious use of vanilla. Roasty aroma with chocolate. Chocolate and roasted nuts in the mild flavor.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of chocolate malts are present in the nose along with notes of roasted malts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of chocolate and dark malts with a slight bit of roasted flavors. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a slight amount of smoothness.
O: This stout doesn't feel that heavy on the palate (in some ways it even seems a little airy) and is perfectly sessionable.
Serving type: can

L: Had this on-tap at Edmund's Oast, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown color and thick, opaque consistency - kind of looked like hot chocolate. There was a thin, foamy, off white head that quickly dissipated. No real lacing here.
S: A very mild aroma of malt, chocolate, and some vanilla.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of roasted malt (present throughout), a bit of chocolate (not as much as it needed), a tinge of vanilla, and a sugary quality. The main problem with this stout is that it's terribly thin and watery. None of the ingredients really stand out. Definitely needed a shot in the arm.
F: A below average amount of carbonation with a mostly smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Kind of feels like a missed opportunity here. Could've been better.

A really solid stout. More flavor than a Guinness, sessionable, really good stout.
