my brother loved this one, i thought it was a pretty good use of the watermelon. tastes more like a kettle sour than a wild beer to me, the fermentation profile isnt all that interesting, more of a bright lactic acidity but little else. thats not a knock on the beer though, its quite good, the watermelon is really natural, has a rindy sort of bitterness to it that helps keep it balanced and not too sweet, and its juicy and fleshy and natural enough. a little bit of grain sugar gives it an almost candied complexion, but i like that it has some body from what i would suspect to be wheat in the mash, so many of these are watery and thin, but not here, fluffy and bubbly and satisfying. the watermelon is there all the way through the flavor, but its clean at the swallow, and the high level acidity helps wipe the palate clean after each sip. this is very summery to me, refreshing when its real cold, and something that is probably great from the can in hot weather. cool to have a beer from these guys finally, i have been hearing a lot of good things. this didnt blow me away, but its very well done with a tricky ingredient.

Presentation: 16 oz. can with the canning date printed on the bottom. Served in a Sensorik glass.
Appearance: The one finger head stays around for a couple of seconds after the pour and leaves no lacing. It's a hazy, pale yellow color.
Smell: There's a faint grainy and floral scent but that's pretty much it.
Taste: Very sour and tart with puckering lemon and lime juices right up front. The watermelon can be felt as an aftertaste towards the end but it's barely there.
Mouthfeel: It's juicy, medium bodied and cloying with a high carbonation bite.
Overall: It's a good sour beer but the watermelon is just not there at all.
Shoutout to Mbgreg for this one!
