This imperial stout has slumbered in the embrace of the finest Willett bourbon barrels for the better part of a year and has finally awoken to
devastate the mortal souls of all in its path.
Full and viscous of texture, rich on the
palate, and exuding notes of the most decadent fudge and flame-kissed marshmallows, Lurker in the Deep’s gustatory finale beckons with cryptic waves of caramel and brandy-soaked fruits.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Edmund's Oast, poured into a snifter glass. Had a jet black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, tan-colored, creamy head that quickly dissipated. Good lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of bourbon, dark fruit, malt, marshmallows, chocolate, and caramel.
T: Tasted of a good amount of malt (present throughout), lots of chocolate (always a good thing), light marshmallow notes, a little caramel, some bourbon, and some dark fruit (raisins, plums). This is a pretty rich and complex flavor. The bourbon is a little bracing at first, but the other elements soon take over. Tasty stuff.
F: A solid amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: A well done and likable stout. Drinkable.
