The cold of the forest night can cut to the bone. What’s that in the distance? A wolf’s howl? Sounds like an entire pack. The only
escape now is that cottage we passed hours back…
Come inside for a warming, malty treat layered with notes of fresh baked whole grain bread studded with sugared nuts, caramel candies, and an oh-so-delicate whiff of Spring
meadows. A pint of this strong, dark lager is surely enough to keep the wolves from the door… isn’t it?

Picked up a single from The Blue Door Bottleshop in Hendersonville 12-8-22 for $4.50. Canned 11-22-22; consumed 6-27-23. Cold stored since purchase.
Neer poured reddish brown with a nice off-white head with the initial pour.
Nose is nice with notes of baked bread and dark fruit.
Taste is very good as the substantial wheat malt base gives notes of fresh wheat bread. Notes of raison and caramel give this notes of sweetness that is tamed very well by the right touch of hopping.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and very smooth.
Overall this is a delightful sipper. Edmund's does a fine job with lagers and can be trusted not to disappoint!

16 oz can with an 11 February 2021 canning date stamped on the bottom.
Pours with a dark, clear reddish-brown body topped by a weak head. There is enough carbonation to suit the very smooth, medium body.
While the aroma indicates a relatively heavy dose of hops, the flavor carries an appropriate, malt dominated taste.
