I'm drinking this at 11 months. A well balanced barleywine, definitely not an over-hopped American style, but not a super sweet malt monster of an English Style barleywine. Pretty basic,
sweet malty nose, no brown sugar, light caramel. Color is kind of a medium brown color, not red. and not particularly dark. I suspect this barleywine is not adulterated with straight up brown sugar or other high sugar ingredients to up the alcohol content. That's just my opinion based on very obvious brown sugar additions in other beers.
