L-Brownish deep and murky body with a two finger head that is bubbly and dissipates quickly.
S-Toasted oats and roasted dark coffee upfront. Subtle sweet maple notes, and subtle chocolate notes. Earthy, subtly sweet and tobacco notes are there as well.
T-HEAVY Roasted coffee and toasted malt blend well with subtle dark chocolate notes. Earthy as the nose leads, sourish bitter hop presence at the end.
F-Medium bodied beer. Very little carbonation.
O-A very solid dry stout. To the t's. Roasty, malty, and well crafted. I wish the carbonation was a bit stronger and more lively, but altogether very enjoyable.

16 ounce can - $4.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

01/23/26.

Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, near black body with a smallish, thinning, ivory-colored head.

Smell: Some roasty, bitterish coffee tones with some smooth cocoa. Very light, low earthiness.

Taste: Roasted malts with perhaps the merest hint of smoke. A touch of scorched dark caramel, cocoa powder and roasted coffee beans for a taste of sweetened albeit bitterish coffee. Again, a light, low earthiness beneath. Lightly malty finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Not bad.

16 oz can from South Carolina ($3.09).

Appearance. Good but less head and visual appeal than a Guinness.

This has a fine, roasty aroma while the flavor is more hoppy, has less chocolate, and is much less harmonious.

This was a great beer with a dry chocolate low hop flavor. There is a good back bone of fruit present and I would rate this brew as way better than Guiness for a stout.

Picked up a 16oz can from the Blue Door Bottleshop in Hendersonville 3-10-25 for $4.50. Canned on 2-12-25; consumed 3-15-25. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured dark brown with a near perfect tan head that is sustaining well.

Nose is nice, getting notes of chocolate and mildly roasted malts.

Taste is very nice as the mild roasted malt base emits a nice chocolate malt underpinning. Hops are spot on leaving this brew perfectly balanced.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and very smooth.

Overall, an excellent job of brewing by the EOBC team!

1 pint can dated 2/12/25

Ebony color, one finger fine brown head. Full curtain lacing and surface cap.
Nutty, coffee, fig, bready aromas.
Brown bread, walnut, coffee, light raisin flavors.
Pleasantly bitter, good carbonation, wonderful deep malt flavor.
A marvelous sessionable Irish Dry Stout.
