This offering we make to you is a pitch black Imperial Stout loaded to the brim with Tahitian Vanilla beans of the most rarefied pedigree. It has the texture of a melting ice cream sundae on a moonless night and the complexity of hedge maze made by a madman.

Poured from a 16 oz can that I bought in North Carolina.
Mahogany colored beer with a thin head of creamy, off-white bubbles that is constantly renewing itself as the glass is moved. Strong roasted stout aromas, softened by vanilla. The flavors emphasize chocolate without the coffee or roasted grains that might be expected with a big stout like this. As in the nose, vanilla mellows and softens the flavors and leaves a sweet impression. After the initial pour I got a strong metallic note, but it faded once the beer breathed. Thin to medium body with moderate carbonation. Bitterness is sufficient to match the sweetness, but not to create an impression of bitterness. Warming alcohol, but not boozy or extreme.
This is a fairly mellow imperial stout, which benefits from the vanilla addition, but is not among the most complex or interesting examples of this style.

16oz can courtesy of @jzeilinger
Poured into an Oddpitch rastal glass
P mahogany w/ a small khaki/tan cap; just a touch of lace at the top of glass
N soft to soft-med nose of vanilla, cherry, and light roast
T super smooth vanilla and roast, with some cherry character and a touch of char in the finish; light nuttiness as it opens, and a touch of warmth
Mf light-med bodied w/ med to med-high carb; creamy as it warms up
O a super smooth and dangerously drinkable imperial stout; appreciate you sending this one, J!

A - Pitch black pour with dense, creamy, caramel colored lacing.
S - Chocolate, chocolate roast, and coffee bean with some soft cream / vanilla.
T - Chocolate malt base is on the sweeter, chocolatey side with just a tad bit of roast, and some sweet vanilla. The vanilla is very prevalent on the first few sips but after that the chocolate roast takes over and equalizes the sweetness.
M - Silky body with some thinness around the edges.
O - I expected more "in your face" on the palate based on the ABV. Speaking of ABV, it's dangerously well-hidden too!
