Pours from the swing top growler forming a 3 finger off white head, which eventually recedes and leaves behind a thin layer of bubbles on top. Color is medium brown with hints of red.
Smell: Sweet malty bock type flavors up front. Also some spiciness, slight fruit, not much hops. Smells good.
Taste: Again, of course, malty. Becomes sweeter as it warms. Hops slight, but present enought to balance out the malt. Alcohol becomes evident in the finsish, but not to the extent where it detracts from the beer.
Mouthfeel: Light carbonation and a kind of silky substance to the beer.
A good maibock, give this one a try if you have the chance.
