Pours a hazy orange. Good hop aroma. Mild hop flavor with a little tropical blast toward the end. A pretty average session IPA.

Pretty sure I bought this when I was up in Cooperstown as it had a date 7/16/18 on the bottom of the can. First beer that I ever had from Northway and it would have appropriate to kick back with while feeling the breeze off of Lake Otsego, as there wasn't anything particularly noteworthy or memorable about it...
The pour to this was decent as the liquid was golden, hazy, and topped off with more than enough frothy head. Most of the lacing that remained was near the top of my pint glass in the form of a thick and rocky head. Citrus tang, soap, and grass were in the light nose as the taste was just as slick and enjoyable. Gooseberry and boysenberry could be felt as there was some sourness from those that gave this just enough depth to keep it from feeling too light or one-dimensional.
This was a session beer if there ever was one as I couldn't taste or feel any of the alcohol in it. The carbonation was light and the malt was relatively basic and recessed, allowing for the flavors to softly fade in and out. With a light body and slightly dry finish, there wasn't anything to dislike about this as it was unassuming as a beer could get!

This one pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like pineapple, berries, grassiness, and orange.
It's a session IPA, so it's a touch basic, but it's still fairly well done. It's very crisp, with pleasant pineapple/berry/orangey juiciness. There's a grassy and clean bitterness on the back end.
This is light bodied, clean and very crisp, with a good level of carbonation and drinkability.
This is my first beer from Northway Brewing, and they are clearly something to keep an eye on.

exceptional beer here from a brewery i had never heard of before, they really are springing up all over the place up here now. this is really fine stuff, a perfect morning and summery beer, and one i could drink a whole bunch of, they should sell it in an eight pack! its got such a wonderful nose on it, like i am refreshed and satisfied by it before i take a single pull from the can. some canned pineapple like mosaic, but almost more in a cocktail than the fruit itself, trace coconut flesh and sweet orange too, tropical for sure, but without the forced over dry hopping so many of these employ. its got great flavor too, a real crispness to the taste, some pils malt dry and simple underneath, peppy hops that start early, and a fast brisk finish but still with lots of hop flavor, fresh lemon, orange, and even green grape, just delicious! i love the hop profile on this, the low bitterness and full flavor, and i love the high carbonation and near perfect dryness. if their other beers are anywhere near this good, i need to get my lips on them. this was among the beer surprises of an awesome beer weekend, ill need to track down more from them next time i am in the area. a perfect light but hoppy drinker!
edit: perhaps marginally less impressive overall the second time around, but thirsty as can be on a hot back nine of a long round, this hit in a special way yet again, refreshing but full of flavor, lightly estery but it flatters the hops, and if this isnt technically amazing, there are some cool synergies anyway. leaving scores as they are, its cool to see this getting a little bit popular, i think it has a lot of legs, hoppy but approachable, super solid.
