The familiar mandarin orange and tangerine notes of our sunrise session IPA are joined by the addition of Citra and Galaxy hops to contribute intense tropical fruit, pineapple, mango and passion fruit flavors to this hazy, juicy Double IPA.

A: The beer is hazy pale amber yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high sense beige colored head that died down but never completely faded away and left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of mango are present in the nose along with notes of lime and passion fruit.
T: The taste follows the smell but has additional notes of gooseberries, lychee and caramel malts. A light to moderate amount of bitterness is perceptible along with some hints of alcohol in the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: You can definitely get a sense that this is a strong DIPA from the hints of the alcohol in the taste but it has a strong dose of tropical fruit hops in both the smell and taste that help to mellow things out.

This one pours a slightly dark orange hazy color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like honey malt, fruit cup, citrus, and caramel malt.
The regular Sunrise Session is a bit better than this, but it's still pretty solid stuff anyway. It's a bit too malty, but at least the malt character is done pretty well, with some nice honey notes. There's some fruity hop notes, like the wet and sweet juice at the bottom of a fruit cup. There's just a touch of piney bitterness, but not a ton. There's some blueberry type flavors too - perhaps there is Mosaic in here?
This is light bodied, slightly slick, with a soft carbonation level, and a pretty nice level of drinkability. There's no hint of the enhanced bitterness.

I wanted to like this one. I really did. The artwork on the can is probably the best part about this beer. It was canned on 6/14, so it's not exactly old. The rest, well honey amber color meets a bile-like smell that matches the sweet and bitter old hop flavors which run afoul of all my taste preferences. Basically it tastes like vegetal vomit. I don't know what happened here, but I'm hoping that it's a bad batch.
