Had on tap at the brewery. Pours opaque, dark brown in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is big peanut butter and chocolate. Low carbonation, moderate body, slightly sweet. Good at what it does.

Hazy, very dark brown with an inch and a half of light, chestnut foam. The tight head is long lasting, eventually leaving figural lace on a Simpli fisheye pint glass.
The advertised peanut butter is roasted and obvious as soon as the pour begins and never fades. The is more akin to natural peanut butter. There is an odd, musty astringency which is a bit off-putting, but only noticeable when breathing in deeply.
The flavor is much more roasted than the aroma suggested, however, there is no sense of the peanut butter. I would say the flavor is more akin to peanut skins. It is far too bitter for a Brown Ale and the sweetness is out of character. The finish is long with a mild astringency.
A slick texture and medium body. Alcohol is above expectations, while carbonation is moderately fizzy.
As Brown Ales go, this one is okay. The adjuncts detract without actually being offensive. I have no desire for a second.
