Pint pour on draught at the brewery. The color is orange/brown resembling iced tea. There was no head or lacing. On the nose is sweet malt, fresh-cut apple, and a whiff of rye whiskey. The taste largely follows with caramel malt, sour green apple, and dry notes from the Wheeler's Rye barrel. Its mouth feel is moderately creamy with appropriate carbonation, and it's a very easy drinker at 6% ABV. Overall, while I wish BA Poison Apple had a more inviting appearance and smell, it's well-conceived and worth a try.
