16oz can (dated 11/12/21) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured the expected solid black color with over 2 inches of light brown head that had good retention and light lacing.
The aroma had solid, but not heavy, roast at the front, with the base grain and malts aspects in the background.
Pretty similar on the tongue, with the roast coming across even stronger, bordering on burnt, but not quite, and lingered at the back end. A definite alcohol bite also hung around a bit.
The body was good; very full and smooth, with only that alcohol component detracting.
Drinkability was good, I wouldn't pound a couple of them, but I'd have it again.
Overall, a nicely solid brew. It might could use a bit of time to let the heat mellow out, but it's certainly drinkable now. Worth grabbing if you see it.
