Alehouse exclusive on-tap at the Sacramento Alehouse.
A: Served a hazy woody-raisin brown with a thin light than head that left a few strands of wispy lace down the pint glass.
S: Burnt caramel, raisin, and herbal, slightly skunky, hops.
T: Follows the nose. Very one dimensional. I get notes of spice, herbal hops, caramel, and maybe a pint of fruit and skunk. The flavor is a bit harsh in the finish.
M: Very ample tingly carbonation that tapers to a watery finish. Thin body, harsh mouthfeel.
O: One dimensional, bland and rough around the edges. Nowhere close to the greats of the style, and just not that fun to drink. I was happy when my glass was empty, and I declined a second pint.
