On tap at Half Pint Pub in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear light orange color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like sweet malt, astringent hops, muddled boozy citrus, and sadness.
This is my first beer from Wood Kettle, and it's not an ideal first impression. There's not much right here, as it's overly sweet, with a slightly syrupy character even with the lower alcohol. The finish is astringent and truncated - it feels like I should be expecting more here, but it never comes.
This is light bodied, muddled and underattenuated, with not a ton of drinkability.
The name here is ironic - Wood Kettle has nothing to be snobby or pretentious about here.
