This occasion begins with emptying the entire contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. The color of the brew is apricot-amber, bright and opaque, without being murky. There's plenty of carbonation, providing a nice white head. For the nose, there's a strong aroma bringing notes of tropical fruits and bready starches. The taste starts a bit piney, then bites more at the finish. Although the mouthfeel is a little thin, the breadlike starches are sufficient to carry all the flavors. There's even some stratified glass lacing to contemplate. Overall, this is a solid and very good hazy American IPA.

What a fantastic execution of a NE IPA!
The brewery’s tasting notes say: “aroma of candied peach rings and flavors of orange, mango, and spice”, and I can’t disagree at all. (I’m not quite sure how one would smell the ring shape of the candied peaches, though. ;-))
The quick notes I took on my phone say, “piney, grassy, fruity; just perfect.” I can’t recommend this (apparently new) style at MadHen highly enough.
(Since this was part of a flight, I am not going all out on appearance, mouthfeel, etc.; I am just sharing my subjective impressions, as noted in my phone while at the restaurant.)
