The beer that started Evasion Brewing. Full of dark malt flavors like chocolate and coffee, with hazelnut undertones. A classic stout made to please.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Date stamp appears to say canned 10/5/23.
Appearance: very dark brown with some brown highlights around the edges. Head is a finger of frothy tan foam.
Smell: aroma is kind of like raw malt or malt extract, with some light coffee and chocolate elements. It’s actually not too bad, although I might guess NA before GF, based on the aroma alone.
Taste: somewhat sweet with some nice roast and a bit of chocolate. The roastiness has a little astringency to it, giving it that kinda charred, ashy flavor. I actually kinda like it, though it reminds me of a nice roasty porter more than a stout.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not too bad a beer overall, and quite nice for a GF beer. Probably one of the better GF beers I’ve had.

12oz can from Toby. Dark brown pour, dull, kind of flat. Light chocolate aroma, sweet. Taste is light roast and cheap chocolate. Dry, mouth coating. Not pleasant
