Two barrels, previously aging their Oregon distilled whiskey on fishing boats out at sea, eventually found their way to our brewery to age this dense, luxurious Imperial Stout. After aging and blending, this beer was finished on toasted coconut.
The heavy combination of grains and these unique barrels create decadent, rich flavors of fudge chocolate, cinnamon sugar, dulce de leche, almond macaroon, sweetened condensed milk, and toasted coconut. All this combines to make our most flavorful and boozy (13.9%) Barrel Aged Imperial Stout to date, earning it the title of COLOSSUS.
