Chill hazed burnt gold with a short head that dissipates quickly to a wet headless surface.
Crisp yet roundly soft, the slick and smooth medium body delivers a mildly bitter prick before finishing bone dry with a lightly toasty exhale. I don't know how to describe the middle, but my mind keeps turning to nasturtium. It's just after the nondescript bitter bite, but before the hint of malt in the finish. I think it's the yeast that is creating a strange sort of hint of something that's not quite strawberry licorice.
A fairly drinkable, if somewhat unusual pilsner.
