A: Clear west-coast stype IPA, slightly darker than straw gold. Head was stark white with decent retention, lasting to a thin 2mm ringed collar.
S: Nose is surprisingly muted for what's to come. It definitely greets the nose with a more mild surprise for what the palate will experience. Almost sneaky, deceptive.
T: The bitterness was there, then a mild pine and strong C-hops step in, but in a gentle and mild way. This is expertly crafted for how strong the C-hops could have been. Masterful.
M: Medium bodied, slightly filling without being overbearing. Never cloying, not overbearingly hoppy and pleasant whisper of bitter on finish.
O: You want a west-coast IPA that doesn't disappoint or give you hop-mouth? This is it.

16 oz can from brewery. Golden pour, small foamy head. Malty aroma, caramel. Taste is malty, toffee with some earthy, woody hops. Smooth, gentle bitterness.
