Located in "Old Sacramento," I'd hoped to find a hidden treasure. What I found instead was a place that should stay hidden.
The atmosphere was uninviting. The staff seemed more interested in gabbing among themselves than serving the (very few) customers. Didn't try the food. It was beer I was there for.
The brews were watery and without any kind of character. Utterly forgettable. (I've even forgotten which styles my friend and I sampled!) Also, because of the location, they charged what I felt was a ridiculous amount for the beers. But then, it's Old Sac, the tourist trap, so this shouldn't have surprised me.
The place isn't well marked in walking past. And that's good, since that's what you should do. Walk on past.
